This 9-day school tour provides the most stunning sites of Vietnam. We will fly from city to city enabling us to see as much as possible in a short time. We start in the bustle and hustle Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City, flying up to Danang, then to the old town of Hoi An. Fly to colonial style Hanoi, and then discover the magnificent Halong Bay. This trip surely stir your imagination.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh City Arrival  (-/-/D)

Upon arrival we will meet our national tour guide before making our way to the War Remnants museum. Dinner tonight will be at K.O.T.O restaurant.

Day 2 – Ho Chi Minh City tour (B/L/D)

Depart for a visit Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post office to get good shots for our memory of the big, modern city of Vietnam. Followed by a visit the Reunification Palace and the War Remnant Museum, where we can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war. Lunch will be served at a nice restaurant in the central city. Continue to Ben Thanh market.

Day 3 – Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Danang (B/L/-)

After breakfast, leave Saigon for the Cu Chi tunnels, otherwise known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”. Pass through pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. then entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. After that, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Later today we make our way to the train station for our overnight trip to Danang; on the way stopping at a supermarket to fill up our bags for the overnight trip.
Overnight on train: Reunification Express Train (Soft sleeper compartments, 4berths/cabin with A/C).

Day 4 – Danang – Hoi An (-/-/D)

Arrival in Danang, transfer to Hoi An for lunch at Morning Glory Restaurant. Later this afternoon we make our way to Hai Scout Cafe. After a welcome drink, we visit Hoi An’s colorful markets to experience the sights, sounds and aromas of this amazing place. During our market experience we will have the opportunity to interact with local sellers; following this we board a private boat for a leisurely cruise along the Thu Bon River which will take us to the Red Bridge Cooking School. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours with each dish first being demonstrated by the Red Bridge’s master Chef before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving and plate decoration. After the lesson we will sit down and enjoy what we have just prepared for dinner.

Day 5 – Hoi An (B/L/-)

We have an early start this morning as we head off to our Farming & Fishing Life Eco Tour. Starting at Tra Que Village, we will get a personal insight into the local farming communities. We set about joining the farmers in preparing their land for sowing, helping to fertilize the garden using seaweed from the local river and watering it in using huge tin cans strapped to our backs. Following this, we will begin our leisurely cycling tour through the countryside witnessing local Vietnamese rural life first hand. Late morning we will board our Hoi An Eco-tour boat for a river cruise. Here we will meet and witness local fishermen working their craft, before enjoying a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. We then transfer to a Vietnamese bamboo basket boat for a quick race and ride down a coconut palm lined waterway. Lunch today, is on board our boat which is prepared using vegetables picked earlier at Tra Que Village.
After lunch we head off to visit My Son Holy Land. My Son is considered to be one of the best-preserved Cham structures in Vietnam and we will have the opportunity to explore the amazing Hindu-like temples and towers interconnected by complex designs.

Day 6 – Hoi An – Hanoi (B/L/-)

This morning after breakfast we will catch our flight to Hanoi. On arrival in Hanoi, teachers and students will be met by our guides and transfer to hotel. This afternoon, groups will visit Bo De pagoda where street children picked-up & provided food and stay.
Bo De pagoda is a place of Buddhist worship. The female monks who live in the pagoda always aim to help people and act in a peaceful and respectful way toward others. According to Buddhist custom, pagodas welcome all kinds of people in different situations and help them to find solutions to their problems. Bo De Pagoda has approximately 50 children (mostly orphans) living in the pagoda: around 20 infants, 15 high school students, and 15 secondary pupils. There are also some women (called nannies) who also live at the pagoda and take care of the children. The role of the volunteer is to provide education and engage with the children living in the pagoda.
Dinner tonight at a local restaurant.

Day 7 – Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

This morning, Departing for Halong Bay and travel through breathtaking scenery en route to a World Heritage area of outstanding beauty. Upon arrival we will board our private boat and spend the next 4 hours cruising around this secluded bay which has been referred to as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Whilst cruising we will feast on a seafood extravaganza for lunch, explore forgotten caves and have the opportunity to canoe or swim from the boat. Later that afternoon we will board the bus and head back to Hanoi for dinner. After dinner we will spend some time perusing the local markets in the hope of snapping up a bargain.

Day 8 – Hanoi City (B/ L/D)

This morning after breakfast we will visit Ho Chi Minh’s Complex which including: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Outside of Presidential Palace, His house on the Stilts. Followed by a visit the Temple of Literature. After lunch we will embark on a one hour cyclo ride around the old quarter. The old quarter was once the heart of Hanoi and is still an unbelievable sensory overload; its bustling functionality will astound all first time visitors. Following this we visit the infamous Hanoi ‘Hilton’ prison and then head back to our Hotel to get ready for an early dinner. After dinner we will watch a Water Puppet show and then head back to the hotel.

Day 9 – Hanoi Departure (B/-/-)

This morning before we bid Vietnam goodbye we lend a helping hand once again. We visit the National Hospital of Pediatrics to help out at the Hope Charity Class. We will work as volunteers to help teach young patients all who suffer from serious and chronic illnesses and cannot attend school like other children.
