Are you planning a Vietnam tour this time? Are you looking for information for your trip in Vietnam? In this article, I want to list the places not to miss during your trip to South Vietnam. Located on the coast of Southeast Asia, the South Vietnam has a lot of things to offer (not less than the North), especially its beautiful beaches and tourist destinations. Here are five places to see that we highly recommend to those who look for what to see in South Vietnam.
Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh city)
Sai Gon is the economic capital of Vietnam. This is a modern city with lots of great avenues overgrown scooters. Again, cross the street is a constant challenge, though, fortunately, the great crossroads, there are traffic lights. By cons, beware, if you are still crossing when the light turns green: all scooters start clockwork, no matter that there are still people on the pedestrian crossing… I recommend, if you make a visit to Sai Gon in South Vietnam, take a taxi or a rickshaw for safety. In addition to impressions from traffic, for those who love shopping, street vendors are everywhere and sell everything you can imagine. In the most famous Ben Thanh market, one can find a little of everything, from clothes to souvenirs. There are other markets that sell fresh food like fish, vegetables, fruits, and all kinds of animal meat – all as fresh
Not interested in shopping and street vendors? There are also many fine restaurants and fine hotels. But once in Vietnam, we recommend renting cheap hotels, eat and buy cool stuff from all the different vendors ….all with a bit of caution even if of course!
For site visits, we recommend you consult the Suoi Tien Amusement Park, pagodas, Buddhist temples, French-built churches, government buildings, such as the Reunification Palace, Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Saigon Opera House and much more! Depending on what you are looking for your stay in South Vietnam, Saigon has everything to offer, including an incredible nightlife with karaoke bars and dance clubs.

We recommend diving off the islands. Nha Trang is one of three destinations in the South Vietnam where you can dive or snorkel (Phu Quoc island and Cu Lao Cham island).
